SulaFest, held in Sula Vineyards, near the city of Nashik in India, is the country’s premier gourmet world music festival. Presented by Sula, India’s leading winery, the event dishes out a heady mix of great music, wine, drinks, food, fashion and shopping amidst the scenic environs of Sula Vineyard. Started in 2007, SulaFest attracts leading Indian and international artistes from across genres including rock, folk, blues, electronic and reggae music. Last year’s edition of the festival was sold out with more than 10,000 people making the trip. A must-do event on every wine and music connoisseur’s list!

Guide to SulaFest

Bus

Getting to the venue from Mumbai:

  • Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) provides bus services from Mumbai to Nashik. Tickets can be booked online for registered users.
  • Buses to Nashik from Mumbai can be booked at RedBus.
  • On average, Nasik to Mumbai travel time is 2 hrs 55 min and can go up to 6 hrs depending on the type of bus, operator and traffic conditions.
Shuttle
  • There will also be a shuttle bus service to travel from parking area to the venue. 
Train

Getting to the venue from Mumbai:

  • From the airport, travel to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) for trains to Nashik.
  • Trains between Nashik and Mumbai from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) include:
    • Tapovan Express:
      • Mumbai CST 6:10 am —>Nashik 9:48 am
      • Nashik 6:00 pm —>Mumbai CST 10:05 pm
    • Jan Shatabdi Express:
      • Mumbai CST 1:50 pm —>Nashik 5:08 pm
      • Nashik 08:55 am —>Mumbai CST 12:45 pm
    • Pushpak Express:
      • Mumbai CST 8:20 am —>Nashik 11:48 am

  • Shared metered taxis and rickshaws are available at Nashik station.
Auto Rickshaw
  • Auto rickshaws are available in Nashik and are generally considered a safe mode of travel. .
  • These Auto rickshaws run on meter. As of January 2015, fares started off with INR 15.00 for the first 2 Km and INR 8.00 for each additional kilometer.
  • Night rates are not applicable in Nashik.

Getting to the venue from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai:

Taxi

Getting to the venue from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai:

  • There are two types of taxis available at the airport; the normal metered taxi and prepaid taxis.
  • Prepaid taxis are highly recommended, especially during peak hours, as once you receive your receipt you do not have to pay anything extra later. The service is available at the airport after you exit customs.
  • Taxis to Nashik can be booked at the airport.
  • If travelling from Mumbai to Nashik by bus or train, take a pre-paid taxi to your transfer destination.

 

Getting to the venue from the city:

  • Taxi in Nashik can be booked online through Ola Cabs
  • Shared metered taxis are available at the Nashik Road railway station.
  • As of January 2016, taxis charge around INR 15.00 per Km.

Schedule Timing

  • Venue gates open at 12:30 pm each day.
  • Previous editions of SulaFest have seen the last act begin at 10.00 pm.

Inside the Venue

Food & Beverages:

  • The likes of Social, The Bombay Food Truck, Olive Bar & Kitchen and Woodside Inn will serve up great food to go with the wine. At the popular Soleil by La Plage, Chef Morgan has prepared a menu with organic produce from Sula’s very own farms, offering a sit-down gourmet dining experience for the first time.
  • The popular Tasting Room and the new rustic Tasting Cellar is expected to be exciting as always, with special tours and tastings to be given to wine enthusiasts.
  • Apart from wines from the vineyards of Sula, fest-goers can also enjoy a wide selection of drinks from around the world by Sula’s import arm Sula Selections.
  • Hardys are on board as a wine partner and Asahi Super Dry Beer, Cointreau, Grant’s Reserve, Jägermeister, Jack Daniel’s Bourbon, Stolichnaya Vodka, and Monkey Shoulder – the world’s first Triple Malt Scotch Whiskey will all ensure no one goes thirsty!
  • Outside food is not allowed in the venue.
  • No alcohol will be served to those under the legal drinking age. Alcohol will only be served on display of a valid ID proof.
