Eat / Drink


The Monegasque cuisine is quite loyal to its Mediterranean roots with a significant impact of French and Italian cuisines. Popular dishes in Monaco include:

  • Stocafi is made with dried cod stewed in tomato sauce, flavored with black olives and small vegetables.
  • Barbajuan is a traditional Monegasque snack filled with a mix of onions, leeks, chard, spinach with Ricotta and Parmesan cheese.
  • Fougasse is a pastry topped with almonds and nuts.

  • Tour Guides: If you take a tour in Monaco, you should tip your tour guide. Even though it’s optional, it’s a nice gesture. 10-15% of the package rate is a good tipping amount.
