The Hall of Fame Tennis Championship, held at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, is the only professional grass court event played in North America. The first tournament held in this venue in 1881 as the US National Lawn Tennis Championship, moved out in 1915 and went on to become the US Open. The Hall of Fame Tennis Championship which started in 1976 is today an ATP World Tour 250 event. Newport, the venue city, is known for its spectacular coastal scenery, a thriving waterfront downtown and awe-inspiring architecture. Complement the sights and sounds of this beautiful corner of North Eastern US with some high class grass court action at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championship this July!
