The Paris Motor Show, known formally as the Mondial de l'Automobile in French, is a biennial auto show in Paris. The Mondial was the first motor show in the world, started in 1898 by industry pioneer, Albert de Dion. Now organized by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles, it is one of the most important auto shows in the world and is often the scene for many new production automobile and concept car debuts. The 2014 edition of the Paris Motor Show attracted over 1.2 Million visitors making it the most visited auto show in the world, ahead of Tokyo and Frankfurt.
