The St. Petersburg Open is a hard-court indoor tournament held at the Petersburg Sports and Concert Complex in St. Petersburg, Russia. First held in 1995, this ATP World Tour 250 event went off the ATP calendar in 2014 only to return in 2015.  Prominent winners of the St. Petersburg Open include Russian greats Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Marat Safin. St. Petersburg, the venue city, is not only Russia’s second largest city but also a dazzling metropolis and a UNESCO World Heritage site with a number of tourist attractions. Combine this with the city’s high art, lavish architecture, wild nightlife and rich cultural traditions and you have one of the world’s most attractive tourist destinations. Add some high class tennis to your trip to St Petersburg this September and make your visit even more memorable.
