The Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championship is hosted by the Japan Tennis Association. It is the longest-running ATP World Tour tennis tournament in Asia and was first held in 1972. It is played at Ariake Coliseum, an expansive tennis centre comprising 48 tennis courts and a stadium with one of the first retractable roofs in tennis.

Tournament cancelled in 2020.

  • Ticket holders need to bring the following on the day of the match they are watching:
    • Visitors from outside of Japan: Printout of order confirmation mail, Passport.
    • Foreign residents in Japan: Printout of order confirmation mail, Documents to identify yourself (Passport, Alien registration card, Drivers license, etc.).

  • Own food and water are allowed
  • Alcohol is allowed. However, you need to keep in mind the sentiments of other spectators
  • 250-seat restaurant

  • The facility asks spectators to refrain from using a parasol.
