Overview

The Madrid Open, currently sponsored by Mutua Madrileña, is one of the most prestigious clay court tournaments in the world. Currently owned by former Romanian tennis professional, Ion Tiriac, it is classified as an  ATP World Tour Masters 1000  event on the ATP (men’s) tour and as a Premier event on the WTA (women’s) tour. The Madrid Open was first held in 2002 as an indoor hard court event before transitioning to clay courts in 2009. The capital and the largest city of Spain, Madrid is one of the most vibrant cities in the world.   • During the tournament, the ticket box office, located inside the Caja Magica, will open every day from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm.
