The Halle Open, currently called the Noventi Open after its sponsor, is one of the most prominent grass court events in the world. Started in 1993, this tournament held in Halle, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, is today an ATP World Tour 500 event. The Halle Open is a major warm-up event for Wimbledon and has been won nine times by Swiss great Roger Federer. The Center Court, known as the Gerry Weber Stadion, has a 12,300 capacity and a retractable roof ensuring that play does not stop in case of rain. Located in the eastern part of Germany, Halle is a perfect mix of the historic, as seen through its old quarters, and the contemporary, as reflected by its numerous cafes, bars, shopping arcades and pretty boutiques. Make a trip to Halle this June and soak in the sights and sounds of this vibrant city while experiencing some high-class grass court action from up close at the Halle Open.
Tournament cancelled in 2020.
