A motorcycling event held in Spain, the Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix, popularly called the Valencia MotoGP, is held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo also known as Circuit de Valencia or Circuito de la Comunitat Valenciana. It is a motorsport race track located in Cheste, Valencia, Spain built in 1999 and held rounds of the MotoGP and Spanish Motorcycle Championships in the same year. The MotoGP events are held on a 4 Km track comprising of five right hand corners, eight left handers and a 650m straight. Although the track is regarded quite small, the stadium style grandstands can seat up to 150,000 spectators. The circuit layout which allows all parts of the circuit to be seen from any stand, helps create a unique atmosphere which is enjoyed by riders alike. The Valencian MotoGP was also voted best GP of 2005 by IRTA.
