The Bahrain Grand Prix is a Formula One race held in Sakhir, 30 Km south of Bahrain’s capital Manama. In 2004, it made history as the first Formula One Grand Prix to be held in the Middle East, and was given the award for the "Best Organized Grand Prix" that year by the FIA. To commemorate its tenth anniversary, the 2014 race was held as a night race under floodlights. The Bahrain Grand Prix thus became the second Formula One night race after the Singapore Grand Prix. The circuit’s varying width at the end of different straights provides drivers with diverse racing lines which combined with its 15-corner design leads to multiple overtaking opportunities. Visit the Bahrain Grand Prix and experience this wonderful island country of sunshine, sand and sea!
