Overview

Started in 1996, the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne is the first race of the Formula 1 season. Organized in the picturesque Albert Park using a combination of public roads and a car park within the venue, the circuit is renowned for providing a smooth and high-speed test for the drivers. The Australian Grand Prix Corporation had coined the phrase 'a great place for the race' and over time Melbourne has lived up to that billing.
