The Vienna Open, currently called the Erste Bank Open after its sponsor, is an indoor hard court tournament played in Vienna, Austria. First held in 1974, it has been classified as an ATP World Tour 500 event from 2015 onwards. Ironically, Thomas Muster, Austria’s greatest ever tennis player, never won the event finishing runners up three times. Played each year in late October, the Erste Bank open attracts a host of top players and 18 of the 25 ATP World Tour's No. 1 players have previously competed here. Vienna, the capital of Austria and its most populous city, is packed with imperial history, exciting contemporary museums, lively eating and nightlife scenes and much more. Add an exciting sports flavor to your visit to this wonderful hub of European art and culture with a trip to the Erste Bank Open!
Tournament cancelled in 2020.
