Torre del Lago, Italy
The Great Giacomo Puccini is a spectacular open-air theatre in the shadow of Villa Puccini, the house in which Puccini lived and worked on his major operas.
Set within the 270,000 square feet of Parco della Musica (Music Park) on the edges of Torre del Lago, the amphitheater has 3,200 seats and offers a stunning vista of the majestic Massaciuccoli Lake, surrounded by the Apuan Alps. Built in the 90s, the venue is one of the best in the world for live opera due to its finely tuned acoustics and vast staging area.
