Festival International Jazz De Montréal

Dates to be confirmed

Overview

Festival International Jazz De Montréal, or the Montreal Jazz Festival, takes place in the heart of the Canadian city of Montreal. Every year, for ten days, North America welcomes aficionados of jazz from around the world, for their sojourn in this French-speaking Canadian city. Started in the year 1980, this festival is ranked as the world’s largest jazz festival by Guinness World Records (2004). It hosts about 3,000 musicians and public entertainers from almost 30 countries for almost 1,000 concerts (out of which 60-70% are free) and welcomes millions of visitors. An exceptional thing about the festival is that a pedestrian site is open from noon till midnight in the heart of Downtown and Quartier des Spectacles. Numerous art forms apart from jazz are displayed on the streets, which leaves the visitors spellbound and a desire to have more of such performances! Experience the lovely vibe and have a gala time at this eccentric festival!
