Daresbury is a quiet, serene and a charming village in the countryside of Cheshire. The name is derived from an ancient family that once lived here around 1250. Wander around in the city of Wonderland as this village happens to be the birthplace of Lewis Carroll, writer of a famous children’s book ‘Alice in wonderland’. Daresbury happens to be the place of pilgrimage because of the Lewis Carroll Association. The stained glass window in All Saints Church illustrates characters from Alice in Wonderland. The rich dance music heritage event, ‘Creamfields’ has been attracting huge number of music lovers into this village (around 40,000 in number) from all over the world since 2006.
