Summer is a great time to be outdoors in the US; combine that with some top notch music and you’re looking at a truly unforgettable experience. We will be doing a series of posts on music festivals that we think you should be attending in coming months in the US, starting with the Las Vegas edition of the Electric Daisy Carnival, more popularly known as EDC Las Vegas.
17 May to 19 May 2019
Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas, NV
EDC moved its flagship festival to Las Vegas in 2011 and it has since then become one of EDM’s bucket list events. Today EDC Las Vegas attracts over 300,000 revelers who come not only for its top-of-the-line DJs spanning all genres of electronic music but also for its amazing production that includes art, carnival rides, and circus-style performances. The theme for EDC Las Vegas 2019 is Kinetic Energy highlighting the euphoric force created by the coming together of thousands of fans. Insomniac Events, the producer of the festival, have even managed to rope in Bill Nye, The Science Guy, for the opening of the event! If you need any more excitement, then there’s the small matter of being in Sin City Las Vegas … Casinos, clubs, entertainment … Take your pick!
This year’s lineup is massive with names like Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Alesso, deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Diplo, Dillon Francis, Tokimonsta, Zhu, The Glitch Mob, and Excision performing. Moreover, you can also catch interesting acts like Skream! B2B Rusko doing an old school dubstep set.
Like every year, this year’s edition of the Electric Daisy Carnival will take place at its home base, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The official EDC Shuttles are the most direct and efficient way of getting to and from the festival. Transforming more than 1,000 acres into a fully immersive, neon-lit playground, the highly-anticipated 2019 event will deliver an unrivaled celebration from dusk till dawn, complete with over 200 of dance music’s most notable names, groundbreaking art installations, all-new stage designs, a new downtown EDC experience, and the return of Camp EDC. The festival will hosts EDC Week which takes over Sin City May 15-22 with everything from morning beach parties to nighttime club raves to get the party started for the main event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
