SulaFest is now in its 13th year and bursting at its seams with music; here’s a look at the stunning artist lineup for SulaFest 2020.
The Wine & Music fest is going to be mixtape featuring Hindi rock music and hypnotic dance mixes. Indian artists Salim-Sulaiman and The Local Train will be mesmerizing the audience. London Based Synth-Pop Band Hot Chip along with Dutch-New Zealand trio, My Baby is going to light the stage on fire. Let’s dig more about the artists gracing the SulaFest 2020.
The Merchant brothers, Salim and Sulaiman, are among India’s most revered composers. The duo possesses a stronghold on Cinematic, Folk, Electronica and Sufi music genres. Known for their splendid compositions in Bollywood movies and musicals like ‘Merchants of Bollywood’ and ‘Beyond Bollywood’, Salim-Sulaiman will be enchanting the crowd with their performance at SulaFest 2020. One can expect them to bring out some of their amazing compositions from Coke Studio Season 3.
A roots-driven hypnotic dance Dutch/New Zealand trio. My Baby’s music is intrinsically a mix of Voodoo Blues and Ancient folk, mixed further with African desert blues, Moroccan Gnawa, Indian raga and a hint of EDM. The Dutch brother-sister-duo Sheik (drums) and Cato van Dyck (vocals) and New Zealand guitarist Daniel “daFreez” Johnston has performed at renowned music festivals around the world including Glastonbury (UK), Isle of Wight (UK), Sziget (HU), and more. They are all set to hypnotize the crowd at SulaFest 2020.
Formed in 2000, Hot Chip is a Grammy Award-nominated synth-pop band from London. Hot Chip is known for its catchy ballads topping international charts and magical live-performances that leave the crowd wanting for more. The band’s headliners include multi-instrumentalists Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin. They will be at SulaFest 2020; you should be too!
The Local Train
The Local Train needs no introduction to audiophiles all across India. Catering to Indie Rock genre, their popular tracks include ‘Aaoge Tum Kabhi’ and ‘Dil Mere’, the former was also featured as the anthem in the Bollywood movie – Angry Indian Goddesses. The band featuring Ramit Mehra, Raman Negi, Sahil Sarin and Paras Thakur will be performing at SulaFest 2020.
Doctor Dru champions the contemporary house movement. Fuelled by beats, rhythms and melodies, Doctor Dru has his mojo going for years. Dru’s modern-day classics like Juicy Fruit, Anymore, The Voice Of Dru made him a chartbuster artist.
