From Werchter we move to scenic Bruges, the site for the popular Cactus Festival.
5th to 7th July 2019
Minnewaterpark, Bruges, Belgium
Held in the beautiful Belgian city of Bruges, the Cactus Festival provides a more intimate experience to music fans. The festival, which focuses on rock and alternative music, was first held in 1982. Since then, despite its growing popularity, the Cactus Festival has resisted the urge to grow “bigger”. Cactus keeps it simple with only a single stage to help fans avoid dreaded schedule conflicts and an intimate experience, only allowing an attendance of 25,000. The festival manages to engage fans off-stage too, with innovative animation and decorous sets. Combine all these factors with a lineup of topnotch performers and you have a music festival that has to be on your must-visit list!
The 2019 chapter of the Cactus Festival will see the likes of Bloc Party, Oscar and the Wolf, Aldous Harding, Band of Horses, Neneh Cherry and Omar Souleyman perform over the course of the festival. In addition, Parquet Courts, Trixie Whitley, SX, Whispering Sons, Eliza and many more are included.
Cactus festival takes place in the fairytale Minnewater Park, located in the southern edge of the Bruges city ring and within walking distance of the station and the historic city center. The campsite is just as atmospheric as the festival site and quietly located in the outskirts of Bruges.
Single day festival tickets are available from EUR 49.00 onward, with two-day tickets for EUR 90 and three-day tickets for EUR 120.
