Our driver (Ricardo if not mistaken) and tour guide were both very informative and cheerful. We were aware that it was a long ride (~3hrs one way depending on the traffic) but we had enough time to visit the historical spots and city center also grab a bite and enjoy a drink. Organization wise it was well thought-out and there were absolutely no issues.

This was a lovely day trip to Wales. Clive, our driver, was one of the most pleasant people we've ever met. Although a long drive, we were comfortable and enjoyed the peaceful trip to Wales. We explored Cardiff for a lunch stop and explored the Cardiff Castle. We then rejoined the tour bus and our tour guide Phil joined us from Wales to tell us a bit about Wales on our way to Caerphilly. We then explored Caerphilly Castle with lovely rustic views. The trip back to London was equally as peaceful. The day started at about 08:15 and ended at about 19:00. We would recommend this trip as a taster for Wales.

We were looking forward to going, but were disappointed that the bus driver didn’t point out anything (we saw Windsor Castle in the distance.) So there is no tour guide for the 2.5 hour trip there and back (longer back due to traffic.) Our guide was pompous and did not seem to enjoy getting asked questions. He was irritated as it was the same day as the Cheese Festival and so there were big crowds. He was so happy to be done with us—only toured on the bus briefly and then did his shopping in Cardiff; only gave us a quick tour of the castle and we were on our own—maybe that’s the way it was set up, but if he weren’t so irritated, it would have been better. Cardiff has some cute shops and the castle was cool, but better to do Stonehenge or Windsor Castle, which I’ve also done.

We wasted time in London reached Cardiff around 12:30Pm. We part time guide available for only 40% 0f the time at Cardiff. Not worth it. will never recommend it

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this trip. Great driver, tour guide, and we especially liked our introduction to Wales. The added trip to Caerphilly Castle was the topper.

First off, the starting point was accurate, descriptive & pickup time was per schedule. The guide didn’t come with us from London instead joined us in Wales. He was informative & gave many insights into the history of Wales. The downside of the tour would be the places covered may get boring - 2 castles & city centre. But yes, a good one-day trip to see Wales if you are not able to see places like say, Snowdonia etc.

Mark was our driver. The van had 9 passengers so we were very comfortable and spread out. He narrated landmarks and neighborhoods around London because we were picked up prior to other passengers. Cardiff was beautiful with the medieval castle and the arcades which are quadrants with restaurants and shops. It was on Sunday so most expensive shops were closed. There were still plenty of shops open for the time we were there (2 hours). Need at least another 30 minutes in Cardiff! Caerphilly castle is 30 minutes drive from Cardiff. Our guide, Richard, was knowledgeable about Cardiff and Caerphilly. Caerphilly was a medieval castle (built in late 1200) and it was used to defend the invaders. It is quite different than other castles in Europe. It was a great trip in Wales. Thanks Mark and Richard, especially Mother Nature for a beautiful day!

Cardiff is a lovely place and although my friend and I enjoyed the day trip we thought that one day wasn't quite enough to see everything. Welch people are very friendly. The driver and the tour guide were amazing and made out day trip very special.

The location to board the bus was very descriptive which made it easy to find. Once on the bus though, there was no wifi and no tour guide and the driver did not explain or tell us anything that was going to happen or why we didn't have a tour guide. He did not explain how long the ride was or if a tour guide was ever getting on the bus. Also, he didn't tell us there was going to be a 45 minute stop at a station on the way there. Once in Wales, the driver finally handed out the itinerary for the day which explained the times and extra stops at the stations on the way there and home. This would have been nice to get at the beginning of the trip. We also eventually picked up the guide, who was very knowledgeable but he had to keep stopping what he was saying to tell the driver where to go, which was very distracting. Cardiff was beautiful but when it was time to go to Caerphilly Castle, a couple did not return at the designated time and the driver and tour guide decided to wait 30 extra minutes for them to arrive (which they didn't) instead of leaving at the designated time like other tour companies have done. That pushed our trip back 30 minutes. The castle was beautiful and the tour guides information was great but he had to keep stopping to answer his phone because the lost couple were trying to get to the castle. This shortened our free time at the castle. Overall the sights we saw were amazing and beautiful but I would not book with this tour company again.
