We had a good tour with Amber. She was both informative and entertaining. We met her on Tower Hill where she give us a briefing on the Tower of London, and explained how the morning would progress. She explained that she would give us a brief overview before we entered each site within the Tower, then send us in on our own. Her job was to keep us on track, on time, and moving in a logical sequence so we could remain ahead of the crowds. On the walk to the tower, we stopped at several other sites where she also gave us an overview and history of that site. The tour was described as being 20 persons max, but our group was a bit larger. The opening ceremony was interesting. We were quite close as there were only about 50 people in total inside the Tower at that time. The Beefeater gave us a very through description of what we were about to see. From there we moved to the Jewel House and our group was the first inside. We had plenty of time to view the Jewels before the crowds began to arrive. We had an allotted time for each of the attractions within the Tower and we felt that time was adequate. The tour is a bit pricey, but we figured, based on the reviews, it was going to be worth it to have the early access. In our opinion, it was based on the long lines we saw at the Jewel House just a short time after the opening to the general public.

Loved getting into the Tower ahead of the crowds. Rob, our Guide, was excellent-gave enough information to let us understand, without being overwhelming.

Tour was a complete joke for the money. Our tour guide was in a hurry to get rid of us. She criticized how loud the London Marathon was the day before, and how it shut the bridge down, thanks I was one of the runners and was not impressed to here that. When we got to the Tower we got to see the opening ceremony, its nothing special. The Yeoman Warder who met with us talked about how we would get to go directly to the Crown Jewels before the crowds rushed in, which is part of the title of the Tour and description. Our tour guide decided against it, so we got to watch the general admission crowd rush by us and go to Crown Jewels as we talked about gate the prisoners entered the tower by, then we went to the Ravens cages. Yes you read that right, we were the very first to see the ravens cages and beat the crowds to the ravens cages, NOT the Crown Jewels. What a waste of $227 for the 2 of us. From there we walked by the Bloody Tower and stood outside why she told us about Sir Walter Raleigh and the only woman ever tortured in the tower, then we saw where the Yeoman Warders live with their families, and then we went to the place where the Queen’s were executed because they didn’t have public executions. The entire time the group is watching the crowds go to the Crown Jewels. Finally 35 minutes after opening we are turned loose to go see what we want in the Tower for 45 minutes ONLY!!!! This 45 minutes includes seeing a very busy Crown Jewels. We were able to see the Crown Jewels and about 2/3rds of the White Tower. We were not able to finish the White Tower, or even see the Bloody Tower, Torture Chamber, or several other buildings. We had to leave. She dis a headcount knew we were missing a few, my husband told her one was in bathroom and she said ok and left anyway. She took us to the Tower Bridge, handed us our tickets and left us. Sadly this was our last day in London and we were not able to go back to Tower to finish it. It was the one thing we were looking forward to the most. In addition, for us to go back we would have had to pay admission again to get back in to the Tower. We reached out to Tour Company and the response was “Sorry it was busy, you got what you paid for”. Sorry no we did not. Extremely disappointed and what a waste of money. This was our most expensive and most disappointing tour of our 2 weeks. Complete rip off and joke.

This tour was a complete rip-off. I'd recommend you 1) Avoid using this tour company (they're complete cheats) 2) Go to the Tower of London yourself and try talking to "beefeaters" (the staff over there) for information Our tour guide, Rachel, was terrible. She provided some information at the beginning of the tour (but I don't think she was very knowledge-able). We got inside the Tower of London with the rest of the public and while in the Tower were told to go look around ourselves. The tour guide was completely useless. We didn't get the Opening Ceremony (which we paid extra for) or the Tower Bridge (which we paid extra for) and the tour operator refunded us 20% of our ticket price at the end and refused to refund more.

Don, our guide, was excellent and gave meaning to each area that we visited. While the Crown Jewels are a highlight, there is so much more to see and learn.

Very well organised and informative tour. John was very knowledgeable. The ability to skip crowds meant more time to explore the many aspects of the tower.
