Having see the YouTube video detailing this tour - we were very disappointed and it was not as described. The tour guide turned up rather hungover and mentioned this . When asked some basic questions about the origins of various beers and stouts, he replied "I don't know actually" and it was rather awkward. The bare minimum one would expect on this tour is the guide to be able to give plausible responses to seemingly simple questions. The tour video also showed pub managers coming out and explaining various aspects of the beer/ale making process - this did not happen. Additionally, ingredients of the beer making process (hops, barley) etc are shown and passed around in the video. This didn't happen either. Basically, feel free to go on this tour if you want to spend about £80 to spend time with strangers and drink 3 pints of mediocre beer for your troubles. I would avoid this at all costs as there are plenty of better tours out there.

Most enjoyable. Extremely well thought out and organised. Chris Grogan, the guide, was superb. He had an easy going and friendly manner, coupled with a wide knowledge of beers and brewing.

Chris gave us a really enjoyable tour of craft beer venues in Shoreditch. I enjoyed all the beers on offer and appreciated Chris's enthusiasm in describing the brewing process and how the different flavours are obtained. Although I thought the fairly brief mention on tasting technique seemed a bit light on detail, I still enjoyed the overall experience. A good way to sample some beers that I would normally have ignored and learn to appreciate the diverse range of tastes that beer has to offer.

Joe was an amazing tour guide to my friends and I on our beer tour! He was funny, informative and kind! I would HIGHLY recommend doing this with a group of friends, or go alone and meet new friends!! :)

We really enjoyed this tour. It was well organised and our guide Sophie was knowledgeable, pleasant and entertaining. We visited a variety of locations and Sophie chose an interesting and varied range of beers for us to try, which also demonstrated the different types and brewing techniques she explained to us. Her follow up email gave comprehensive information on what we had to drink. We particularly appreciated our visit to the Long Arm Brewery: it was a really busy day with a Six Nations match in full swing, but we were made very welcome and not at all rushed. We were lucky to share our tour with a lovely family from New Jersey, who were excellent company too. This tour was a gift, and a great one!

Excellent tour. We visited several pubs/ bars in the Shoreditch area which I was unaware of and were introduced to some great craft beers. Daniel was a brilliant tour guide, friendly and gave great information - also adding in a lot of humour which made for a very fun afternoon! Would definitely recommend.

I bought this as part of a birthday present for my fiancé who is really into his beer. Our tour guide was Chris who was just great - very knowledgeable about beer and also really easy to chat to. He was super-helpful and followed up the tour with an email summarising where we had been and which beers we tried. This would make a great afternoon for a group of friends or in a couple.

I organised the secret beer tour as part of the stag do activities - it was really fun and we learnt a lot about beers and tasted a lot of new beer. Our guide Sophie is a walking encyclopaedia of beer. Highly recommended!
