We visited with three children (6,7,10) and had a lovely couple of hours. The mail rail ride was the highlight but the actual museum was also very hands on and great fun as well as interesting even for the adults. Extremely friendly staff also contributed to our fun afternoon. The cafe probably could have a bit more variety, although the kids’ lunchboxes and hot chocolates we had were very well received. Overall well worth a visit.

A wonderfully thought out museum and experience. We took our 4.5 year old and 1.5 year old and they both thoroughly enjoyed themselves - as did we! The Mail Rail train was a great experience. The Sorted! play area was highly enjoyable.(Possibly getting a little tired in places, but the children didn't notice!) The additional craft workshop that day was simple but effectively fun and the museum itself was interactive enough to hold their attention long enough for us to read some of the displays and enjoy the exhibitions. My only gripe was the cafe. A poor selection of food, slow service and unenthusiastic staff. Sorry - I never usually complain, but it was awful. Next time, we'll go to The Coach pub down the road!

I was most disappointed with the Postal Museums customer service regarding admission ticket amendments. I appreciate they have a non refundable, non transferable policy on their mail train and play space tickets but some level of understanding and flexibility would be nice. I booked for my 6 year old son and I to visit the museum on Wednesday this week. Unfortunately the night before our visit my 2 year old son developed a temperature and was unable to attend nursery the next day. This meant that I needed to stay home to look after him and wouldn’t be able to visit the museum the next day. My 6 year old was very disappointed at not being able to visit the postal museum that day. I emailed the museum the same day to as if they would kindly change the date of our tickets to the following week explaining the reason that we were unable to attend. The museum completely refused to be flexible and stated that we must purchase new tickets for the mail train and play space. I felt that this was extremely bad customer service and completely unsympathetic to family life! Considering this is a museum aimed at children I think they need to be a lot more flexible!!

Excellent and very informative train ride plus a very interesting museum on opposite side of the road from the train ride. Friendly staff and several hands on experiences makes this an unique experience travelling on the old postal trains.

We were visiting the area and needed to pass a few hours so we looked online for something to do and the postal museum popped up. We were so glad that it did! This museum is split in 2/2. Firstly, you go on the male rail ride which takes you underground into the tunnels that the post used for transportation around London. You take a ride on one of the tiny trains and whilst underground you watch videos about the Postal Service over the years. There were also a lot of interactive exhibits for the children to play and learn with. Across the road, the museum itself is located. This was also extremely interactive and very informative. An excellent museum with a great pricetag.

This is a great little museum split over 2 locations; the main mail museum being some 50m up the road from the mail rail train. The museum has some really interesting items and tells the history of the Royal Mail and is perfect for everyone especially kids. The mail rail was delightful and well done. The kids I saw were very excited by it all. Overall definitely worth a visit with the ticket giving access for a whole year (great if you live nearby, less useful if you don't).

I visited the postal museum after seeing it talked about on social media. Both the mail train ride and the postal museum exhibition were really engaging experiences! I particularly enjoyed the exhibition about the history of postcodes which I had never learnt about before.

It was a perfect venue and experience on an unusually HOT London day. For adults it’s interesting and amazing to see how man made structures kept England from falling to the Nazi regime during WWII. Wonderful exhibits Of stamps, letters, designs, and clothing of the time you can try on. For children it’s a wonder of interactive exhibits, a search for different images to check off on a walk through game. Three ride on three same tracks and cars used was a highlight. Very enjoyable and educational.

Took my little boy here this weekend. The 2 attractions are split, so you start with mail rail and then go over to the museum last. As everyone has said the mail rail is the highlight, really interesting, no queues and a bit like a mini version of the tube. It's a bit of a squeeze getting into the cars but the ride doesn't last long so it's not an issue. You aren't allowed to take bags or drinks on the train so just be prepared for that. Once finished on the ride there is an old maintenance area you look around with lots of interesting things to see, then over the road to the museum where there is a shop and cafe plus another host of things to see. We got round in about 90 minutes, it wasn't busy and managed to do a lot of the activities. If you have young kids they will love it. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Well done all, 👏
