Hampton Court Palace, the home of England's most notorious king Henry VIII, has tales of ghosts, executions and his 6 wives!  Perfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of central London, Hampton Court has something to please all the family.  There are two palaces to look round, Henry VIII's built in the 1500s and a second palace built for William III at the end of the 1600s.  In addition to the two magnificent palaces, there are stunning gardens to look round and a chance to see the complicated game of real tennis in action!   Oh and of course, for the young and young at heart, there's the world famous Maze!
Tours last between 2-3 hours and start at 10.30 a.m..  The meeting place is outside the West Front Gatehouse.  The tour price is for the whole tour and is in addition to the palace entry fee.
This is a private tour for your group only and allows you to customise it to your liking. Do check out my 'Excellent' Trip Advisor reviews.

Stop At: Hampton Court Palace, A308, East Molesey KT8 9AU England

There is so much to see at Hampton Court! The main attraction is Henry VIII's palace including his magnificent Great Hall, the vast kitchens and the eerie Haunted Gallery where the ghost of one of Henry's wives has taken up residence; but there is a second palace at Hampton Court, that built for William III. A ceremonial staircase leads up to William's state apartments where there is a huge collection of weaponry, exquisite furnishings, a couple of optical illusions and some very peculiar etiquettes! There is the real tennis court and usually someone is either practising or playing a match so it is possible to see this fascinating game in action. As well as the palaces, there are 60 acres of beautiful gardens to explore including the great grapevine, the largest and oldest productive grapevine in the world. When the tour has finished, you might want to find your way to the middle of the world famous Maze!

An outstanding tour, we were very impressed with Sandy's knowledge of Hampton Court - the information and stories really helped to bring the building to life! Sandy spoke with an enthusiasm and a clear love of history, art and architecture - she answered all of our questions, helped us to navigate the various historical periods and ensured we were touring at a comfortable pace (and helped us find the best places to view the artefacts!). We highly recommend this engaging and brilliantly crafted tour!

Not only did Sandy Rhodes make our visit from London to Hampton Court seamless and easy, she also guided us through the estate, and explained every detail which brought the experience to life. There are so many amazing historical facts, and Sandy presents them as an intriguing story...just wonderful!

My Grandmother and I had a spectacular tour of Hampton Court! Sandy was a knowledgeable guide and very kind to move at a comfortable pace so my Grandma and I could enjoy the storytelling, works of art, and fusion of architecture. Being a history buff and a passionate student of Tudor history, this tour was everything and more. You will not be disappointed. Have a tour with Sandy, and the reign of Henry VIII and William III will be brought to life before your eyes! Enjoy!

I've never seen 100% excellent rating but after our Hampton court tour with Sandy, I see why. She was on time, waiting at the entrance. Her every concern was to cater to our interests and time. I could not have enjoyed our time more.

Sandy took a group of our friends on a tour of Hampton Court just before lock down. They enjoyed it so much that when last week we hosted another group of 14 from various countries in Europe we had no hesitation in asking her to guide them. They loved it. She is very knowledgeable and personable delivering the tour with clarity and skill. 3 hours flew by.

Our family of four (Ages 43, 42, 10 & 14) loved the tour. Sandy asked me ahead of time what might be of particular interest to our kiddos and really tailored her discussion to that. Our son can be shy but she patiently drew him out of his shell and engaged with both kids throughout the tour. She showed us many hidden gems (like the optical illusions on the ceiling!). Before our trip, she checked in to see how we were managing with the tube strikes in London and offered to help however she could. I can’t recommend her enough. We toured Windsor Palace the next day and it wasn’t the same with Sandy. :-)

We loved Henry’s Great Hall! The know an infamous King of England once held court in that very place, surrounded by the same priceless tapestries that survive to this day, was awfully cool.

Sandy was incredible! She provided detail instructions and always very responsive to all my questions. She is a knowledgeable guide and gave us quite a lot of history background about the royal families and the palace. We definitely enjoyed our tour at Hampton Court Palace.
