Pass By: St. James's Park, Horse Guards Road The Storeyard, London SW1A 2BJ England

Your regal tour begins at the Duke of York Column, located on St. James’, where you’ll greet your guide and embark on a walking tour of London’s royal monuments.

During the stroll to your first site, your guide provides history-rich commentary that offers insight into the British monarchy’s illustrious reign. Stop at St. James’ Palace, which has played host to iconic royals including Princess Diana and Anne Boleyn, before you continue into St. James’ Park — a green lung formerly home to the Royal Zoo.

Stroll down The Mall, designed to represent a giant red carpet leading to Buckingham Palace, and pass by the home of Princes Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Clarence House.

Stop At: Buckingham Palace, Spur Road, London SW1A 1AA England

Then, approach the gates of Buckingham Palace, arguably the world’s most famous royal residence. Open for only two months a year, the opportunity to visit the State Apartments is a rare and exciting experience.

With an audio guide to direct your exploration, you’ll delve into the lavish chambers of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II: marvel at the opulent décor and admire rooms swathed in sumptuous upholstery, chandeliers, and priceless art. See, too, important pieces from the royal collection such as Sèvres porcelain and some of the finest English and French furniture in the world.

Please note that if you chose the Afternoon Tea upgrade option, you'll leave the palace and join back up with your host. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautiful St. James’s Park to an elegant venue, where you’ll enjoy afternoon tea. On arrival, the staff present you with a delectable spread of dainty finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, and homemade preserves, freshly made cakes and pastries, and a selection of tea.

Richard was an excellent guide- knowledgeable and funny. It made for a nice walk to Buckingham Palace. Being able to enter the Palace through the group entrance was also a bonus.

We booked the tour, from Trip Adviser with City Wonders - got an email and electronic voucher, neither had a meeting point - we showed up at Buckingham Palace 20 min early, no one there could tell where to go to get the group. They would not honor our voucher. We walked for an hour and came back to meet the group as they entered the palace - we tried calling their contact number, no one could tell us were to go, they offered 50% off if we booked another day - poorly run - their group leader Slawek even reviewed our correspondence and confirmed that there was no meeting point listed, he contacted their office and sent photos or the bad data. I suggest booking local - not using Trip Advisor or City Wonder

Going inside the Palace to see the State Rooms. I’ve been to the Castle before but never when it was open to the public. Highlight of my visit.

Michael, our walking tour guide was very knowledgeable and very entertaining. The automated guide for the Palace was easy to use. Being in such an historic, beautiful building with its vast amount of artwork, made you feel a part of something legendary.

It was an easy walking tour. The tour guide was a funny guy and shared with us some good information. I like the radio sets provided to us to listen easily to the guide in a place that can get noisy. My main purpose was to visit Buckingham Palace which I was able to do at the end of the tour. This was also the point where we were on our own in discovering the palace (with the help of the palace's multimedia device.)

Overall the tour is fine. Michael gave some interesting facts. But in our group was a family with a few kids (2-4 year olds). One of the kids was bouncing around and Michael got a bit worked up about the equipment which was the audio player. If you’re worried about the “equipment” maybe don’t give it to a certain age group or chill.

Fantastic! & met all my expectations, with ticket into the palace included which saved queuing time as our guide was our entrance ticket, she did an excellent job & gave insightful explanations throughout the walk from the starting point where the Duke tower stands & towards Buckingham Palace, where she left us and off we went into the palace! At the end of the viewing, there's a Cafe & gift shop which are both really well-managed. Highly recommended for this tour!
