This trip provides a brief introduction to Cambridge and Oxford, with two of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. Our guide Danica and driver Armando were superb, maximizing our time in both cities and getting us back to London slightly ahead of schedule. Highly recommend, especially if you want to get out of the bustle of London for a day trip.

We had an amazing time visiting Oxford and Cambridge. Our tour guide, Danxia, was very knowledgeable about the history of the colleges and gave us several recommendations for our trip to London as well. Furthermore, our bus driver, Morina, was an excellent driver and was always on time to pick our group up. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in visiting London.

Our tour guide was Eileen, who was very experienced and knowledgeable. She gave lengthy overviews of areas we were about to see on the bus, and explained as the group walked around as well. She spoke in English and Chinese for the 2 different groups on the bus. Everyone was impressed with her. I liked the fact she carried an open red umbrella, so it was easy to find her in the crowd. The bus was high tech, there is an Android table mounted on the back of every seat with videos and some games. I didn't use the bathroom, but my kids thought it was clean and good.

Memorable 12th July 2022! This is a very belated response that I am recording and I also give my profound apologies for this! I am from India and was staying in London from the 6th of June to the 27th of July, going around and visiting areas of varied interests. As a student of history, despite being a senior citizen, any place leaves in me deep memories and elated ecstasy. Of all the days of my stay in London, what would stay green and fresh in my memory would be 12th July this year. It was on this day, that I boarded Golden Tours’ bus to Oxford and Cambridge. This was my maiden trip with the Group, but as we were brought back to London in the evening, I told myself that the trip was really GOLDEN, ever to be cherished! The credit for this should, I strongly feel and am convinced, would go to the wonderful duo of Ms, Dan Xia (who was our tour guide) and Tony (our captain and who was at the wheels all through). The group had a good mixture of English-speaking tourists like me and a few Chinese speaking guests. From the moment we left Victoria, Dan was at her expressive best, describing every bit of details of all what we saw on either side of the road as the coach moved forward. Her impressive narratives took everyone by surprise as he was quite well-versed with history, heritage and culture of the United Kingdom. It was from her that I came to know what Westminster meant or the importance of River Thames, what all the historical significance of U.K. was and much more. Once we were settled down, Dan came to each of us, politely enquiring how we were, either as a solo passenger (as I was) or as a group. Both in Cambridge and in Oxford, she reeled out how these two prime Universities came into being, their importance, the Colleges both the Universities were having, their brilliant alumni, compounds and much more. Her admirable energy was fantastic and mesmerizing and there was an innate sincerity and passion in all what she explained and conveyed to us. She was also taking care of our food and beverages requirements explaining to us as to what one could get where and different available options thereof. One could also easily bank on her as to what mementos could be procured from where. On our trip back, as the bus was nearing its final stop, she came to each of us to know as to whether we were conversant with the topography of London and guiding us as to where one could get into the different metro or bus lines as available in the historic London! Thank you Golden Tours for making 12 July 2022 memorable and for the wonderful experience that your Company and Ms Dan Xia had afforded to us! If ever I get a chance to be in UK, I would be with the Golden Tours to make my experience golden! U. RAMESH Kolkata (India) 64 years
