Stop At: Bulleid Way, London SW1W, UK

This wonderful day trip will take you to two of the UK’s most iconic attractions and one of the world’s most famous – and charming – cities. Make sure you are in Victoria for 8am as your coach will be leaving at 8:30am sharp!

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Windsor Castle, Castle Hill, Windsor SL4 1PD England

You will get to the first stop of the day, Windsor Castle, for about 9:30am. This 900 year-old castle perches proudly on a lush wooded hill overlooking the Thames. With its sweeping landscaped gardens and imposing turret, it’s easy to see why it’s Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite weekend residence.

Duration: 1 hour 50 minutes

Stop At: St. George's Chapel, Castle Hill, Windsor England

At Windsor Castle, enjoy a fascinating through–the–keyhole peek at the lavish State Apartments, home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci, and visit the beautifully gothic St. George’s Chapel, the atmospheric final resting place of former monarchs including Henry VIII.
The coach will leave Windsor Castle at about 11:30am to move onto the next part of your adventure.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Stonehenge, Amesbury SP4 7DE England

From a 900 year-old castle to a 5,000 year-old monument – you’ll be taking a step even further back in time when visiting Stonehenge, to which you will get to for about 1:15pm. The true meaning of this ancient, awe-inspiring creation has been lost in the mists of time. Was Stonehenge a temple for sun worship, a healing centre, a burial site or perhaps a huge calendar? How did our ancestors manage to carry the mighty stones from so far away and then, using only the most primitive of tools, build this amazing structure? Surrounded by mystery, Stonehenge never fails to impress.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Radcliffe Camera, Radcliffe Square, Oxford OX1 4AJ England

For your last stop of the day – see the beautiful town of Oxford, known for being home to the English-speaking world’s oldest university. On this walking tour of Oxford, follow in the footsteps of Oxford’s famous students (such as C.S.Lewis and Bill Clinton) as you stroll through the captivating college courtyards and cobbled lanes of this historic university town.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Bodleian Library Bodleian Library Broad Street, Oxford OX1 3BG England

Take in the famous ‘city of dreaming spires’ and see the Bodleian Library – one of the oldest libraries in Europe – on your visit. You’ll be captivated by the unspoilt narrow alleys and ancient squares of this charming place.
Your coach will leave Oxford at about 5:45pm. The estimated arrival time back in London is around 7pm.

I really want to highly recommend this tour! Being from Australia and never being to the UK before, these three places were my ‘must do’s’ Our amazing tour guide Dan and bus driver Mario went all out to make sure we had an amazing memorable day that we will remember forever. Unfortunately Windsor Castle was still closed due to the Queen’s passing but we were still able to view it from the outside and have a really good look around the stunning town of Windsor itself. Dan went out of her way to show us where to go at each location, and gave us a really in depth commentary on each place and pointed out things of interest on the journey. Nothing was too much trouble, and she went out of her way at the end of the tour to make sure each guest knew how to get back to their destination from our drop off point. She also was more than happy to give further recommendations on places to visit while we were in London. It was such a lovely day out and I felt really well looked after also. Thank you so much much Dan and Mario!

I didn’t really know what to expect from this tour, knowing that it was going to be a long day with many things crammed in. In the end I was super pleased and my expectations were exceeded! I felt I had exactly enough time at each place for the taste. I really appreciated that our guide, Ari, was looking out for our group to make each transition as efficient as possible to maximize our time as much as possible. Thanks to Ari and Jim, our driver, for a great day! Pro tip: bring your own food for the day so you don’t have to try and find time to purchase.

Other than the weather the tour was great. Our tour guide, Anna, and driver, Mario, were very good. We enjoyed the experience.

Our tour guide Ari was exceptional. She provided many interesting facts during the tour. She made sure my husband and son who both have disabilities saw everything there was to see. She even took photos of us at the sights. She walked us to a coffee shop to rest and use the bathroom. The highlight of the trip was seeing the late Queen’s final resting place. Priceless. We only waited in the queue for 10 minutes. Our driver Jim provided many interesting facts as well. We learned the meaning of many phrases like “on the wagon”.

We were late for 5 minutes and so the bus left. We we’re late because we we’re at the other side of parking where their buses were, and we spoke to one of their staff to go on the other side and that they will let them know that we are on our way there. We tried to speak with the manager and offered us other tour (stonehenge and bath), which was not equivalent to our original tour and it gave us extra cost for another entry tickets. It was better than nothing though, because we could not get any refund. Regarding the tour, it was very bad because they just literally provided the transport. We could have just done it on our own with cheaper price. So I do not recommend this agency.

We loved our guide who was very knowledgeable and helpful. As one might expect at this time Windsor castle was nothing more than a photo op as the royal family is grieving. Our only criticism is that when an element is unavailable time could be added to Oxford for example in our case. The bus is very cramped, so organize your belongings accordingly. It was a very good day all sights were gorgeous, many places not available due to the recent death of the queen. Stonehenge , dress warm the wind comes from afar..

Unfortunately this tour was cancelled for unexpected reasons a little over a day before the event which was a bit frustrating. Luckily Trip Advisor accommodated me with a replacement tour for the same day which went to the same locations sans Oxford but Bath instead. And I must say, Bath was quite the idyllic and cute village. Great shopping and great restaurants. My favorite part of the excursion would probably have to be Stonehenge and this was a 7 Wonder that has been on my bucket list for quite some time. Overall, Morten (our tour guide) and Armando (our driver) of Golden Tours did an excellent job. Morten was passionate about British history and was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend to go on this tour!
