Greater London, United Kingdom

England is known for fish and chips, four seasons in a day, warm ale, history in spades and of course, a deeply ingrained age-old love for pomp and ceremony. Join us as we serve a slice of world-famous ceremonial action with this small-group Changing of the Guards experience.

There is so much more to this extravagant shift change than meets the eye though- with your expert guide to lead the way, you’ll soon know your Welsh from your Grenadier guard, understand what the deal is with those fuzzy bearskin hats, hear the astounding origins of this dazzling spectacle and truly get a handle on the significance of every colour, button, mascot, symbol and movement in this most British of traditions.

From the best possible viewing point, your small group will join the guards on their journey towards Buckingham Palace as you march to the beat of their drums... but what will the music be today?

This is the only way to see the Changing of the Guards. Our guide was outstanding, we didn’t miss a beat of the ceremony and got some great pics. The group was the perfect size which definitely made a difference to this experience In fact the only bad thing was that we didn’t book more of these tours.

Richard our tour guide was exceptional! He had excellent insight into the history and gave us amazing viewing points of the entire ceremony that you would have never known existed. I had no idea how valuable a tour guide would be for this event. Highly recommended and worth the money!

Our tour guide was exceptional! Richard had excellent insight into the history and gave us amazing viewing points of the entire ceremony. I was amazed at how many people were there watching, but Richard knew where to stand and when to move to give the best views. Take heed and DONT go to the gate, it’s so deep with people you won’t see anything. Go with a guide and see loads more than just the gates and have perfect opportunity for photos! Great 90 minutes or more to see changing of the guard! Loved it!

Francis was an amazing tour guide. We came with 3 kids and thought they would be thoroughly bored. However Francis kept them entertained with his unique stories and wealth of historical information. He knew the exact places to stand to have the best views possible. We were always up close and personal to all the action. He kept the tour moving so kids wouldn’t be restless or bored. This was one of the best tours we have taken during our entire European summer vacation. Thank you Francis for the memories you created for our family!

Our guide Francis showed us all the different spots around Guard Change and explained a lot about the different phases of the change combined with interesting background stories. Without this tour we would have been lost.

Being up and close to the guards and the action was amazing, highly recommended, great value for the money spent👍🙂
