My son and I had a brilliant 4 hour session with Steve. We learned how to cast and how to catch, we caught 4 fish between us! Which for a cold day in January was pretty impressive. It was fantastic day, I can't recommend it highly enough. Steve our instructor was patient, clear, and very entertaining too, telling us stories as we went. If you want to try fishing I can't think of a better way to start. Thank you Steve - Learn to fish

I had always wanted to learn to fish, and give it a go. Steve was really helpful, patient, a great tutor and very encouraging. The afternoon passed quickly and I loved it. I didn’t expect to catch anything but was lucky enough to catch 3 fish and even experienced the “ one that got away”! The site was easy to find and had good, clean facilities which was a bonus. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn to fish!

As my holiday plan fell through due to travel ban, I started googling for things to do. The day didn’t start great as it was raining. But after catching my first fish (a small one), the sky cleared and everything went right. I caught quite a number of small fish and then my instructor, Mike, allowed me to reel in a big carp. After which, I caught my first big fish, a bream, by myself. And then three more carps afterwards of increasing sizes which was awesome. I loved it and will definitely recommend.

My 9 year old daughter has recently developed an interest in fishing. We came across Learn to fish on line, and booked a fishing session with them. Tracy at learn to fish was so helpful in arranging this. We booked a four hour session, and it was awesome. We were taught by Graham, who was fantastic, really knowledgeable and a really nice gentleman. He provided all the equiptment. She tried out pole fishing, rod fishing, and bait fishing. My daughter caught a 6lb rainbow carp, with her first cast and went on to catch 3 rainbow carp (6-8lbs) and about 4 small roach (I lost count). Graham taught her how to cast, reel, bait, handle fish and lots of other bits of general knowledge about fishing. The only downside was that i wished i had booked a lesson for myself. But i had a lot of fun just watching.Truely great day. Very highly recommended for anyone wanting to try out fishing, to see if its for them. Thank you Tracy & Graham at Learn to fish

My father and I recently met up with Steve (Saturday, October 5th, 2019) at Tyler's Common Fishery for a 2 hour session starting at 11:00 AM. My father and I are from the states, and have a decent amount of fishing knowledge. However, Steve taught us so much about carp fishing; different techniques, baits, and they're feeding habits, just to highlight a few things. We learned so much, and caught a lot of carp in the process (both mirror and common carp). It was an awesome trip to make to get some fresh air away from the inner city of London, and it was only a little over 40 minutes away from where we were located (Hoxton). Highly recommended.
