Greater London, United Kingdom

When you travel through West England, you feel bewildered.

In Avebury, you wonder why Neolithic inhabitants built the largest stone circle in Europe. At Lacock, you question how the stunning abbey has managed to be a nunnery, a brewery, a bakery, and a home. And in Bath, you ponder over what Britain would have been like if the Romans had never visited.

So on this tour, we give you time to investigate the secrets and understand the beauty of these famously historic locations.

Your guide lets you wander through the streets of Bath, where Georgian architecture effortlessly blends with ancient Roman artefacts. You travel to Lacock, where the rickety old lanes have been used as a filming location for Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, and Pride and Prejudice. And you venture to Avebury, where the stone monuments have beguiled visitors, historians, and archaeologists for centuries.

So uncover the mystery and history of West England on our tour to Avebury, Lacock, and Bath.

Bath is definitely the highlight of the three stops. If you want to see the actual baths, pre-buy your tickets! They may not be available when you arrive in Bath. However there is plenty to do and see if you don't get in the baths.

I was delayed on the train for 20 minutes because of crowds viewing the Queen and then further delayed when my Uber could not get through traffic in Westminster. No one at the tour agency would give me credit or refund only because I booked through Viator. Necer again. I’ll be posting on social media shortly.

Special shout out to Samuel, as he definitely had a great enthusiasm for the places he took us. Very informative and entertaining! Trip would have been enhanced if umbrellas were provided for unexpected (expected!) showers.

Samuel was a wonderful guide. He passed along information that made the stops more enjoyable. Our trip went smoothly and as it was a small group, timely. The Avebury stones were magnificent, Lacock charming, and Bath a place I need to visit for a longer period in the future.

We left on time in a beautiful clean, comfortable Mercedes minivan. John, our wonderful driver/guide asked what we were most interested in so we spent extra time in Bath. John let us know interesting facts about the areas we were passing through and he really knew his history facts. He put some British music classics (think Beatles, Queen)on low over the speakers for the time on the motorway and let some of us nap. We were provided with maps or detailed instructions on how to get to where we wanted to wander at each stop. I can’t recommend this company and tour enough. We had a wonderful day.

I loved my Rabbie’s tour of Avebury, Lacock Village, and Bath. This was the perfect day to spend solo while my husband was working. Samuel was very welcoming and shared lots of great info and stories about the places we visited. He also did an ice breaker early on which got us all talking to each other - a great idea!

It was cancelled on the eve of the trip. I took another one, but it was not an adequate compensation for me. I did not enjoy the trip to Oxford, it was too short, same as the Cotswold's. It is Absolutely unreasonable to travel more than four hours to the destination and back to spend an hour in Oxford and half an hour in villages. Pity I went. Sorry for the negative review, but I think that it was my last trip with Viator. Apart from that, it does not seem fair to take an absolutely unknowledgeable trainee and try and explain things to her on a trip with customers. Not a single new fact learnt.

Wonderful day trip with excellent driver (Graham) and assistants. It was rainy, but we had a good time anyway.
