Extremely enjoyable tour with Mark. He contended adeptly with last minute displacement by signal failures and competition from an excellent busker and a noisy evangelist! Very informative - I've been using the London Underground since the early 60s and was amazed at how much about it I had never noticed. Social, industrial and technical history - Altogether a well spent 2 hours.

Our tour guide Mark was fantastic - he seemed to know everything about the history of the Underground. With a fairly large group trailing behind him in a very crowded tube, he managed to keep us all together, with only one person temporarily lost amid the crush. Mark was funny as well as knowledgeable, and we learned a lot. I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Mark as your guide.

Excellent tour with a wealth of information. I enjoyed the tour guide’s manner asking Socratic questions of the participants, but perhaps a bit more contextual information might stimulate people to give answers. One minor issue was the logistics of the group going to different tube stops and so some became separated but mainly this was due to how busy the tube station was. We knew though where we had to go due to the guide’s attention so not a major problem. Overall, a worthwhile tour and excellent guide.

My 3 American pals and I went on this wonderful tour of the Underground with Mark, who kept us engaged with origin stories and fun facts about the train system that is the lifeblood of London. Mark handled the potentially challenging format with expertise and ease - delivering a presentation over the chatter and chaos of the Tube is no small feat! The whole time he was lively, informative, and answered all our Tube-related questions. This tour gives you a healthy dose of London history, as well as a better understanding of how modern Londoners navigate their daily commute. Highly recommend!
