Our tour guide Mark was fantastic - he seemed to know everything about the history of the Underground. With a fairly large group trailing behind him in a very crowded tube, he managed to keep us all together, with only one person temporarily lost amid the crush. Mark was funny as well as knowledgeable, and we learned a lot. I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Mark as your guide.

Excellent tour with a wealth of information. I enjoyed the tour guide’s manner asking Socratic questions of the participants, but perhaps a bit more contextual information might stimulate people to give answers. One minor issue was the logistics of the group going to different tube stops and so some became separated but mainly this was due to how busy the tube station was. We knew though where we had to go due to the guide’s attention so not a major problem. Overall, a worthwhile tour and excellent guide.

A very enjoyable and informative couple of hours learning the history of the London Underground / Tube. Our guide, Mark, was very enjoyable and did a great job of passing on his knowledge to our party. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting London.

My 3 American pals and I went on this wonderful tour of the Underground with Mark, who kept us engaged with origin stories and fun facts about the train system that is the lifeblood of London. Mark handled the potentially challenging format with expertise and ease - delivering a presentation over the chatter and chaos of the Tube is no small feat! The whole time he was lively, informative, and answered all our Tube-related questions. This tour gives you a healthy dose of London history, as well as a better understanding of how modern Londoners navigate their daily commute. Highly recommend!

Entertaining, informative and professional tour led by guide Mark, full of anecdotes and facts. Felt this was a great way to get to know more about something we all take for granted when we visit London. Recommended for locals, commuters and tourists alike!

Mark, the enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly guide learned me a lot about the London tube. You ride the tube, you understand how to use the map… but do you know the tube ? Do you know who Harry Beck is? Mark will make you look at the London underground in a different way. You’ll enjoy it, like we did.

A BIG "Thank you" to Mark, who did an exellent job at providing intersting insights on the "Tube". We both liked the mixture of facts, stories and background information. E.g. now we understand why at some stations we have to go to the street level, crosss the road an decent again! We also valued the details about Frank Pick (see wall at Picadilly station) and the Johnston typeface for London Transport. 2 very lively hours in the Underground! :-)
